34 Years

Happy Birthday
Christian James Willey

Yesterday was Chris' Birthday. He turned 34. He is the love of my life! We took the evening and stayed home. Our lives are always so busy that we don't spend alot of time just relaxing on the couch and talking. This was wonderful. The Saturday before I had a few friends over to have a casual get together, snacks, homemade soup and lots of laughs. Earlier that day I had realized that Chris and I have been together Half of our lives. We started dating at age 17, so 17 years together. Amazing that I was lucky enough to find a man I was destined to be with at such an early age.
He is a wonderful husband, father and friend. If you are not blessed to have him in in your life you are missing out!

Happy Birthday!

His shorts are gone!!!!

On Saturday of Labor Day Weekend we visited some friends of ours that were camping down in Marion. Chris had to work that morning and Dulcie and I had made plans to visit the NewBo Market. And her husband Todd was going boating with his sister, his son and one of the girls. Dulcie and I were taking Isabelle and Hope with us as well as Wyatt. However when he found these plans out he was quite upset not wanting to hang out with girls he asked Todd if he could go with them on the boat. Luckily we had packed a pair of shorts for him and Todd had an extra life jacket so off they went.

Later that day when they got back from there day of boating the first thing I'm told is "Sorry, but his shorts are gone!" Todd then proceeded to fill me in on the days events. Everyone had taken a turn trying to water ski and they some how talked Wyatt into trying it. Now keep in mind my son doesn't like water that is above his head. Apparently with a little coaxing he got in the water and was ready to give it a try. Tod said he got up and went about ten feet (typical for a first try for most people) and then face planted it. Here is where things get interesting. Instead of letting go of the rope he holds on. The driver of the boat keeps going because every time he looks back he is seeing water spraying like you would when someone is skiing. After quite a ways he notices Todd clear back holding the skis and realizes that Wyatt is being dragged along. H stops the boat and tells Wyatt to let go of the rope. Wyatt comes out of the water with no shorts. Apparently during his ride down the river his shorts were pulled off and left behind. Luckily he still had his underwear.

Now normally my son would be furious and be done if something like this happened, but he was laughing and having a good time and claims He went the farthest (even if it was on his face) After that he tried tubing almost losing his underwear and enjoyed the rest of the day.

No sorry there are no pictures just my recap of the story, but I find myself laughing just thinking of it because I can picture it clearly in my mind.

The shorts were never seen again and Wyatt wants to know when they are going boating again.

lia sophia conference 2013

So I know this is a month or so late, but better late then never right?

At the end of June I traveled to Indianapolis to attend the lia sophia national conference. This is my second year attending and i can honestly say I will never miss one. You learn so much, you ignite your business and get fired up, you are inspired by others and you get the chance to meet amazing women from all over the country, share your ideas and struggles. I have met some amazing women and had the chance to make some life long friends and memories that I will cherish! Words can never express what this business has done for me from self confidence to bettering our money situation but the best part is the sisters I have made. So enough words here are some pictures from conference 2013.
